I have always had a passion for dogs and growing up in a family with working German shepherds, horses, and many other animals has meant caring for our beloved pets has come naturally to me.
Previously an accountant by profession, with a successful career in the city, my love for animals finally took over 7 years ago and I've never looked back.
I am a proud dog mum to Harley, an American bulldog and am both passionate to learning and understanding dogs better. As such I've studied with the British College of Canine Studies, Centre of excellence, and other organisations to gain various qualifications and valuable knowledge.
Passionate about ensuring dogs are always happy and comfortable in my care, I will only ever recommend positive reinforcement training methods.
I am currently studying to become a vet behaviourist due to wanting to build knowledge on the connection between pain and behaviour responses.
I believe my love for dogs is plain to see and I am happiest with the furry ones.
I am the newest member of the HMK9 gang, and am loving it already.

Wilma and I have dipped our toes and paws into the Canicross running world which is extremely fun and I believe this has helped develop the strong bond we have. It also tires us both out after which is a win win!
As well as Canicross, we have taken to the water and attempted stand up paddle boarding. This has had mixed success as Wilma prefers to be in the water swimming rather than being sat on the board. This is very much a work in progress!
Having Wilma is one of the main reasons I decided to join this team. For the last 19 years I have been in teaching. After such a long time in the academic world I felt the time was right for a new challenge. Since having Wilma I knew I wanted my next adventure to be working with dogs and so I reached out to the team who welcomed me with open arms.
They say never work with children or animals...I don't know what this says about me!
I have recently completed my canine first aid course and now look forward to getting stuck in, muddy and getting to know you and your dogs.
